Launch of the 1 Million Tree Plantation Campaign on International Forests Day
Samson’s Group Inaugurated the Million Tree Plantation Drive in collaboration with CDA:
Samson’s Group of Companies launched the Samson’s Million Tree Plantation Drive 2024 on
March 21, 2024, at F-9 Park, Islamabad, in collaboration with CDA. Marking the
International Day of Forests, the initiative aims to plant 1 million trees nationwide to
combat climate change and restore ecosystems.
The event, attended by Mr. Sami-ur-Rehman, Chairman Samsons Group, Barrister Mansoor
Shah, Chief of Corporate Affairs, and Mr. Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan,
alongside other key stakeholders, showcased a collective commitment to environmental
sustainability. Over 4,000 saplings were planted during the inaugural phase by
diplomats, environmentalists, and community members.
As part of its ESG commitments, Samson’s Group promotes afforestation, biodiversity
preservation, and sustainable livelihoods. The drive highlights the importance of
collective action in building a greener, more sustainable future for Pakistan.

Revitalization of Malam Jabba Ski Resort: A Boost for Tourism
On September 4, 2016, a significant initiative to enhance the tourism sector in the country was unveiled with the restoration of the chairlift at Malam Jabba Ski Resort by the private sector's Samsons Group. This restoration came after the original chairlift was destroyed by terrorists. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan proudly inaugurated this pivotal project, which features chairlifts capable of accommodating up to 208 individuals.
